What is measured
We count visits to public page categories and event, artist, venue, and festival pages. We also count clicks to ticket sellers, official event pages, artist, venue, and festival websites, and Central PA Jam’s Facebook page.
Traffic context
When available, we record a broad source category such as direct, search, Facebook, another social network, or another referring website; a sanitized campaign-source label; a broad device category; and only the referring and destination host names. We do not retain full referring or outbound URLs.
What is not collected
We do not store raw IP addresses, complete browser user-agent strings, precise location, browser fingerprints, user-entered search text, advertising identifiers, or cross-site profiles. Analytics does not require an account or a persistent visitor cookie.
Short-lived deduplication
To reduce bots and repeated refreshes, the server converts limited request information into rotating one-day and one-hour pseudonymous values using a private one-way key. Raw network addresses are not written to analytics storage, and the rotating values are not intended to identify a person across days.
Browser storage
During a browser tab session, CPJ may use session storage to retain the original referral category and sanitized campaign source as you navigate the site. This is not a persistent visitor identifier and is removed when the tab session ends.
